PSC's product line consists of 3 highly specialized software systems expertly designed
and targeted at military and civilian agencies who are required to adhere to federally
mandated regulations. PSC has systematically developed and tailored these packages
over the last 20 years to rigorously meet these federal requirements as well as boost
IATS: The Integrated Automated Travel System (IATS) is used throughout the Department of Defense and other civilian agencies to establish all travel documentation, computations, accounting interfaces, federal tax reporting, and payment by check or electronic funds transfer. It is a system than runs on multiple platforms and services military and civilian employees around the world. It is a versatile system that can be used in any situation, including wartime such as Desert Storm and the current activities in Iraq. The system includes all the rules promulgated in the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR).
T-PAX: The Travel Processing and Automated Examination (T-PAX) system is a specialized front end to IATS. T-PAX is designed to enable individual travelers to easily request travel authorization, enter travel claims, and track the status of their claims as they are processed. T-PAX handles all forms of travel ranging from simple local travel expenses to complicated long term temporary duty (TDY) trips and even civilian permanent change of station (PCS).
DEPS: Professional Software Consortium has developed the Defense Entitlement Pay System (DEPS) for use within the Department of Defense. DEPS is an application that serves as a Military Pay Computation System. DEPS is used within the Department of Defense to calculate Military Pay entitlements for "short term" periods and is used to calculate payroll for individuals that cannot be paid by normal Military Payroll Systems.
DEPS provides the capability to calculate basic pay and allowances or to pay specific allowances only (such as Hazard Duty Pay). It provides a mechanism to ensure that tax history and pay history are maintained. Additionally, DEPS provides for Combat Zone Exclusion, leave balances, leave payments, and Thrift Savings Program (TSP) collections. A variety of additional pay tables for special pay and incentive pays are available on a pick and choose menu.
DEPS generates Leave and Earnings Statements, required payroll summary sheets, W-2's and currently interfaces with the Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS). It also has the capability to print checks and maintain a check register.
